Dear Valued Paragon Women’s Care Patients,

With profound sadness and a heart full of memories, I am writing to inform you that after 27 years of dedicated service, Paragon Women’s Care will be closing on October 31, 2024. This decision marks the end of a chapter that has been filled with joy, challenges, and countless moments of connection with each of you.

The world of independent medical practice has become increasingly difficult to navigate, and despite my deep love for this work and for all of you, the financial pressures have reached a point where I can no longer sustain the practice. The constraints imposed by stagnant physician payments, as dictated by Medicare and insurance companies, combined with the ever-rising costs of running a practice have made it impossible for me to continue providing the level of care I believe you deserve and I want to provide.

It breaks my heart to step away, knowing how much trust you have placed in me over the years. I am keenly aware of the challenges you may face in finding new care, especially given the strain on other practices in our community. Although I cannot assure you that other providers will have availability, I recommend Huey and Weprin. This group practices within the Kettering Health system and as of this writing are taking new patients. The Montgomery County Medical Society referral service at 937-223-0990 may also be a helpful resource in your search.

We will not be scheduling further annual exams, but I am committed to assisting you in these final months. We have limited appointments available in October for medication refills or other immediate needs, including telehealth or in-person visits. For those of you on thyroid replacement therapy, please contact the office to determine if a blood test is needed before scheduling a visit.

Your medical records are an essential part of your ongoing care, and I will ensure you have access to them as you transition to a new healthcare provider. You can find our medical record release form on our website under the “Announcement” tab or click the link below. Please contact our office prior to October 31, 2024, to arrange to either receive a copy of your records or to forward them to your new provider. After this date please complete the medical record release form and mail it to 7095 Clyo Road, Dayton, OH 45459. We will need a signed records release form in order to proceed.

I am deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in me, and it has been an absolute privilege to be a part of your lives. Thank you for allowing me to be your doctor, your confidant, and your advocate.
